Tricoteuse
Part of the Artificial environments / environmental Intelligence Festival
Movement Lab at Barnard College, February 22, 2024
The Ae/eI Festival featured work-in-progress installations and performances in the Movement Lab every day for a week, all of which were free and open to the public, guided by the question, what happens when we close the loop on the constructed binary of nature and technology?
Tricoteuse is durational performance: knitting by the guillotine, spinning a web, playing accompaniment for a spider. Quartet for crochet, accordion, and improvisatory movement. An homage to analog technologies.
